   • While IELTS is accepted (overall band of 6.5, no band below 6.0), UofT also accepts a range of other tests, including TOEFL iBT (89 overall, 22 in speaking/writing), Duolingo English Test (120 overall, 120 in production for tests after July 1, 2024), CAEL (70 overall, no part below 60), PTE Academic (65 overall, no part below 60), and Cambridge English (C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency with 180 overall, 170 in each component). Exemptions may apply if you’ve completed a certain number of years of full-time study in an English-medium institution.
